GOD BLESS ISRAEL

Here Is Why I Remember The Holocaust

6 comments:
Once a year the entire nation of Israel commemorated the six million that were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators. At exactly 10:00 am, sirens sound throughout the Jewish State and most of Israel's citizens (Except the Arabs who deny the Holocaust and some radical Ultra Orthodox Jews who call themselves religious) stood in silence to remember and give respect to those who were murdered, burned, gassed and dehumanized by the Nazis and their collaborators.

Some keep their eyes shut in total silence remembering a family member who was murdered and some whisper a prayer in honor of the six million innocent Jewish souls that were violently ripped from this world.

Most years, I belong to the second group, but this year, I was lost in thought asking myself, why? Why remember?

What is it about that horrible time in Jewish and human history that is so important to remember? My grandmother (Z"L) who survived numerous camps and saved other Jews will never be forgotten by me, so why is it important to have a national memory of such a tragedy? What exactly am I remembering?

Is there someone who actually believes that our memory will prevent another Holocaust from happening? Look around!

Syria is murdering tens of thousands of people by gas and chemical weapons, Russia is conquering Ukraine and let's not even get started with the amount of people who are being slaughtered throughout Africa!
Has the world learned anything?
My answer is an absolute NOT A THING!

Obama is a joke and has threatened Syria time and time again that if they dare use chemical weapons, the US will be forced to react. Hello? Does Obama watch the news?

Some say that the Holocaust should not be mixed up with politics, I say WRONG! Only when we remember just how low human nature can stoop will one have total political clarity.
It is very important to remember an American President who flew fighter jets over the train tracks that led millions to their death in Auschwitz but refused to bomb them because he didn't want political "trouble, or the silence of the world as millions of Jews were burned, gassed and shot. These facts gives us total political clarity and reality, Israel will protect itself!

On July 7, shortly after the U.S. War Department refused requests from Jewish leaders to bomb the railway lines leading to the camps, a force of 452 Fifteenth Air Force bombers flew along and across the five deportation railway lines on their way to bomb Blechhammer oil refineries nearby

To remember a British leader who met, shook hands and was actually on the brink of signing an agreement with Hitler because he didn't believe Hitler was a real threat!
The Munich Agreement
"Peace In Our Time"
And let us not forget our Muslim neighbors who seek "peace" with the Jewish State and claim that all our problems started when the modern day State of Israel was born in 1948.
Taken in 1943! No State No Settlements Just Islamic Anti Semitism!
Brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers were burned, gassed and treated like animals and the world said NOTHING! Nothing from France, nothing from England, nothing from America, nothing from anyone!

What do I learn from the Holocaust? I learn that the State of Israel is the ONLY true safe haven for Jews and we cannot trust anyone with our safety, security, military or Jewish survival.

Barack Obama and John Kerry say they are our friends, but they have been pressuring Israel into handing over more parts of the Land of Israel to Muslim occupiers and have recently forced us to to agree to a ceasefire with a fanatic Islamic terrorists organization called HAMAS!

Instead of the US President and Vice president siding with the Jewish State that has the same basic values as the US, they have taken sides with the people who hold the same terrorist ideology that was responsible for the murder of over 3,000 people when they blew up the Twin Towers!

When Abu Mazen signs an agreement with the terrorist organization Hamas, John Kerry blames Israel and warns that if Israel doesn't make peace (give in to their demands) soon, the Arabs will start killing Jews! Really? Does that sound like a friend to you? To me it sounds like blackmail!

This Is Hamas!

Then Kerry says it was Israel's refusal to release terrorists as well as the building of houses and kindergartens in JERUSALEM that is to blame for the failed peace process. Of course the fact that Abu Mazen has completely refused to recognize a Jewish State has absolutely nothing to do with it, right John! I am not even going to get started with the Hamas missile fire that the White House said nothing about till Israel reacted!

When I say NEVER AGAIN! I mean it and the time is now! Unfortunately not only is the world ignoring the dangers Israel is facing, Israel's leaders themselves are ignoring the imminent dangers and are dreaming of signing a "peace" deal with those who idea of peace is war.

Bibi, the Arabs have no right to this land! Can they live here in peace? Yes! The Druze do, The Christians do and yes, there are plenty of Muslim Arabs who just want to live, but the second they talk of a national country within the Land of Israel, it's time to say it loud and clear, NO WAY!

The motto 'NEVER AGAIN' has nothing to do with the Nazis. They like the Romans, Greeks and the Mussolini's are all gone.

Never again means we will never again be so naive to believe the world when they say they will do something about the powers of evil, especially when those powers threaten Israel or the Jews!
We now know that even our greatest allies and friends will fly right over our heads and ignore the flames that burn our flesh!
We know that their political standing is more important than morality and certainly more important than a couple of Jews burning or being blown up by Muslim terrorists.

What do I learn from the Holocaust? There is only God to rely on and he is given us back the Land Of Israel as well as the IDF so that NEVER AGAIN will this little boy march to his death with his hands up in the air!

A Fantastic Opportunity To Show Your Support For Israel & The IDF

No comments:

There are very few posts I have written that have sent such a feeling of pride up my spine as this one. Without giving too much information, I have been serving in the IDF for over 20 years and had the honor to serve in the second Lebanon war in 2006 and here is a small piece of my personal story.

My unit was 30 Kilometers in Lebanon for almost two weeks and when we were finally given the order to return to Israel, we were told we would be walking back as our helicopter was shot down. The gear on our backs weighed in at about 60 kilos (aprox. 130 pounds) and the 30 kilometer trek was not a walk on the beach. By the time we made it back we were filled with pride and honor but totally exhausted. As we crossed back over the border, we lowered our gear, exhaled and for the first time in weeks sat down and relaxed.

We still had to walk another two kilometers to see our families since there was a fear of missile fire but at that moment what we needed was a break. As if our prayers were answered a jeep with a huge trailer drove up to the border, the driver got out, opened the doors and started handing us drinks, food, fresh clothing, dry fit undergarments and more. Along with the outpouring of much needed food and gear, the driver of that jeep dumped a huge sack of letters from people around the world who were thanking us for protecting Israel. Those letters of support together with the outpouring of gifts put a smile on every single one of our faces.

The Jeep belonged to David Landau, the brains and operations behind an organization called Standing Together.

Standing Together with the IDF: Lebanon 2006

Seven years later and I am very much in touch with Standing Together. I have been on the receiving end while in service and have given back by volunteering and fundraising for Standing Together so that they can continue to show IDF soldiers just how much they are appreciated.

What Can You Do?
I have been fortunate enough to grow a nice size pro Israel following on the IsraelShield Twitter , Facebook and blog. Together with Standing Together I came up with a fantastic opportunity for anyone to show their appreciation to IDF soldiers like never before.

Warm Up a Soldier

The winter in Israel has arrived and the weather has been extremely cold. After corresponding, brainstorming and meeting with officers from top IDF units, we have put together a specialized operational winter gear kit for soldiers.

The Standing Together 'THANK YOU' Trailer
I have almost 2,500 followers on the IsraelShield Twitter account and over 400 friends on the IsraelShield Facebook account. IsraelShield together with Standing Together would like to get these winter packs to 3000 IDF infantry soldiers. If every one of you who are following IsraelShield sponsors two packs, we can make it to over 5,000 soldiers!! Our goal is to successfully reach 3,000 front line IDF soldiers.

I am starting the "Keep a soldier warm" campaign by sponsoring the first 5 winter packs!

Each pack cost $55. Sponsor 1 or 100, but most importantly, leave a personal message for the soldier that will receive your pack.

Click on the heart below and show your love and appreciation for IDF soldiers.

All donations are tax deductible.

LET'S DO THIS!!!

Why Muslims, Palestinians and Arabs Hate Chanukah

If you're not yet following Israel Shield on Twitter, now's the time! @israel_shield and don't forget to join us on Facebook

Like all good Jewish holidays, Chanukah is all about; “They came to destroy us, we won, let’s eat!”

Like so many others before, the Greeks attempted to wipe out the Jews and failed.
Along with heroic stories of the Maccabees and the final victory that gave the Jewish nation back their land and their Temple, many look at Chanukah as a miraculous military victory over the Greeks. The truth is, the Greeks did not attack the Jews, it was the other way around. (Well, sort of)
Unlike the PLO or Hamas charters, the Greeks were not out to murder the Jews or drive us into the sea, in fact, the real account of Chanukah is quite the opposite.  12356789

The Greeks understood the Jewish connection to the Land of  Israel as they understood our connection to God and the Torah (Bible).
It was very clear that without destroying our connection to our religion, it would be impossible to separate us from our land.

The Greeks also understood that it was not our physical might that allowed us to survive years of persecution but rather the strength of our soul. There were no gas chambers, concentration camps or suicide bombers that targeted Jewish women and children and there was no plan to annihilate the Jews.

What the Greeks were after was our traditions and beliefs and the key to destroy our identity was to accept us into the UN, the coliseum and the senate in order to seduce us to take on a new ideology.

The Greeks did not slaughter us or blow us up, they invited us to their games, philosophical debates and worship of the body.
What an offer! No more anti-semitism, no more murder!
We would be united with our Greek neighbors. A binational Israel that would bring peace.

Those Damn Settlers!

A small group of “crazy” Jewish” settlers decided they would not give up their faith, nor will they defile the Temple in Jerusalem with Greek idols or philosophy for the sake of "Peace".
They took on the great Greek empire and army and won.
The Maccabees were condemned by the Greek Senate as fanatics who are hungry for blood and were shunned by Jews who had accepted the Greek invitation for world peace.
With a quick search through Googleonemus or Youtube of Neapolis one could find numerous videos of philosophers from around the world and even some Jews who publicly bashed and spoke against that small group of "hawkish" Jews who decided to stand up for their religious, national and historic right to the Land of Israel instead of agreeing to a generous offer for Peace.

While the Greeks and Jewish Hellenists condemned and scorned the Maccabee’s stubborn stand and struggle for the Jewish soul and categorized them as fanatic Zionists and obstacles to peace, the Maccabees stood strong backed with a thousand years of Jewish tradition and spirituality and most of all truth.

Even after the miraculous victory over the Greek Empire the Maccabees continued their struggle to prove the power of the soul over body. The Temple was defiled with Greek statues and impurity and the Maccabees searched for a flask of pure oil with which to light the Menorah. While one cannot see, taste or smell the difference between pure and impure oil, the Jews understood there is something in this world that is more than meets the eye and searched for the pure oil.

Most of the flasks in the temple were trampled and broken by the Greeks as an act of defiance against the idea of purity but the Maccabees found one small flask of oil that was sealed with the stamp of purity from the Jewish high priest.

While many laughed at the idea that one flask would last longer than a couple of hours, the Maccabees understood the power of spiritual purity and poured the oil into each one of the seven branches of the Menorah. The oil that should have lasted one day lasted eight days and stood as the symbol of victory of the Jewish soul over the Greek worship of the body.

What does the story of Chanukah have to do with the Palestinians?
The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

There were no Palestinians involved in the story of Chanukah.
In fact there is no historical recollection of such an Arab nation, State or country. The Jews were in the Land of Israel before Islam existed and the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem as well as the Jewish kingdoms that ruled Israel predated any Palestinian or Arab claims over The Land of Israel.
As Naftalli Bennet, the head of the Israeli Jewish Home party, so eloquently put it, “One cannot occupy his own home”

The next time you claim Judea, Samaria or any other part of the Land of Israel was occupied by the Jews and rightfully belongs to a people called “Palestinians”, take a stroll through Rome and walk under Titus's Arch and take a good look at the vessels that were carried out of Jerusalem and tell me again who lights the Menorah to commemorate their independence in the Land of Israel?
